ABOUT

ABOUT DR. MCILWEE

Dr. Caitlin McIlwee, PsyD. (she/her) is a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Illinois. She specializes in providing individual psychotherapy to teens, young adults, and adults struggling with anxiety and mood disorders. She completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with a specialization in cognitive behavioral therapy. She previously received her bachelor's in psychology and Spanish at Washington University in St. Louis.

Caitlin has provided evidence-based therapy in a variety of settings, including primary care, private practice, community mental health, and schools. She works collaboratively with her clients to identify active goals for treatment, with a focus on living a life that is fulfilling and guided by one's values. She strives to create a supportive and strong therapeutic bond with her clients by using warmth, unconditional positive regard, compassion, and some lightheartedness and humor, when appropriate. 

Caitlin is out-of-network with insurances. She is licensed via PSYPACT to provide teletherapy appointments to people residing in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, CO, CT, DE, DC, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY.
